two pictures out of order • 2019"out of order" supposedly describes a temporary malfunction. When it is engraved in metal though, it rather suggests a permanent state.
The information contained in both these pictures is not visually recognisable or at least it is foreign to most of us.
Should such content be made accessible to a blind person, it would contradict a tradition in arts which disallows tactile contact with works for conservatory purposes.
The use of Braille is intended as a means of questioning the retinal hegemony in plastic arts. It confronts the idea that sight is the most prevailing sense in our experience of the world.
